Tanryn, taiti: have a look at one of the old games if you want to see how they go.

Here is one that Joe did, based on Reservoir Dogs

Exactly, I can't figure out how it works as a forum game either.

people just make massive posts arguing some minor point or using pseudologic to prove some point about what someone said 20 pages ago that indict someone that they were a werewolf

If you have the right special roles though (seer etc.) you introduce a bit of logic.

It's just a bit bizarre having back stories, and proper characters.

We're normally just ordinary villagers, who don't like the look of each other, and have the taste for revenge over that killing on the first night. The special roles just do their thing and lie or tell the truth as they see fit.

If any of you show up at HoGS and we play werewolf, bad luck if you've got a beard, I usually get lynched early because of it. We seem to have moved on from playing this so much now though.

We kinda did that the first few times—well actually, I got bored and elaborated from day one :D—but yeah, I think the forum medium makes that easier than in real life. You can build on a story setting over days rather than minutes.

The pseudo-logic bugged me. Can't play an illogical game >_<

We have a similar thing. But the conditions are "if you are Paddy"...

That's the kind of thing a wolf would say...
