Yeah, I hate how some games add in game changing things based on what particular version you bought, I'm sure someone will figure out how to unlock them though ;)

From Smee, from Kotaku:

Quote:
Dragon Age: Origins (360, PC)
What Is It? Bioware return to their Baldur’s Gate roots to revive the classic fantasy RPG.
Should You Care? Sorry, PS3 owners, you must wait two more weeks.

EB guy was full of shit. Not surprising, I guess.

Blizzard let you do that with most (all?) of their games, not sure if any other companies do it though

not sure my old Macbook would play the newer games to be honest. Maybe I should get a Macbook Pro.

I caved and bought it on steam, based on the AU dollar and http://kotaku.com/5397283/dragon-age-origins-+-playstation-3-versus-pc

Sadly, Steam didn't download it off internode, like I had planned, so I am shaped :(

Yeah, the steam "Preferred Server" system is crap. I can tell it to download of Telstra, which is free traffic, but it doesn't guarantee. It's got a whole bunch of calculations that heavily weight the preferred server, but if another server has a lower ping and higher bandwidth, it will jump to there instead. There are ways of forcing this involving firewall blocking of certain IP addresses, but it's very frustrating.

That's what I do.
Now I've just got to work out a good way of bringing the xbox360 into work.

I got over the cloth map, since I am sick of storing them in my sock drawer.
