Does anyone know where to get a tunisian crochet hook or how to spin alpaca wool??

I thought I might just ask

Im hoping there may be closet crafty people floating around on here that are keen to share patterns, techniques and knowledge with fellow closet crafty people.

That might be a tiny little bit awesome, but whatever happened to the doilies?

Apparently there's a good shop for knitting items in Moonah, I may find myself dragged along there tomorrow if I'm not careful.

Lysh is part of a forum called ravelry, and there's tons of crafting freaks people on there that do all sorts of stuff.

So here is a link to a useful Tas website http://hwsdguildtasmania.org/ if you become a Rav member there are two Tassie forums which I read one is hwsd and the other is the 'Tassie Stichers'

I also did a quick google and found what you are looking for on ebay http://shop.ebay.com.au/items/_W0QQ_sopZ12?_nkw=tunisian%20crochet%20hook&_fromfsb=0&_trksid=m270.l1313

I've also asked in the Tassie stiches forum for you on your behalf and I'll find out if there are any locally available and report back.

So I can confirm that Tas Wool Suppliers, in Moonah, do have these Tunisian crochet hooks hanging on the wall - I saw sizes 2.5 to 4mm, there may have been smaller or larger ones too.
Compared to those prices on ebay though, you might like to go with that option if you're not in a hurry, and would use more than two.

many years ago i house sat for a framer (don't know if that the correct title for someone who frames). He worked out of his own place in taroona, I just checked the yellowpages and looks like he still works there (sorry cant remember his name)

Fine Frames
Picture Framing & Frames
39 Taroona Crs, Taroona TAS 7053, Australia
(03) 6227 8985

Cant tell you what his prices are like, but he framed some pictures for me as payment for house sitting and they look fine.

Is there an international federation of framers that colludes to strictly enforce identical prices?
